Our approach involves creating and incentivising a diverse portfolio of nature-positive solutions, building relationships between those solutions and strategic partners, embedding our solutions in an ecosystem bolstered by our network, and providing thought leadership to inform and inspire the uptake of nature-positive solutions.
The vision of I4N is to achieve a nature-positive future where businesses thrive, ecosystems flourish, and our planet is regenerated for generations to come.
In 2021, Innovate 4 Nature was initiated as a marketplace by engageability, In-Finitude, InTent and Waterpreneurs, connecting nature-based solutions with investors. Since its inception, the association has successfully organised three marketplaces, each with over 100 attendees. We screened over 60 solutions, achieved remarkable brand awareness, and built an ecosystem involving nature-positive solutions, the scientific community, corporates, investors and family offices.
In 2024, the Innovate 4 Nature Foundation was officially launched, transitioning from a marketplace to an accelerator to recognise the need for additional support to accelerate nature-positive solutions.
In the same year, the foundation launched the first I4N Award. Four winners out of 400+ applicants received the award during the I4N Day in the Luma Arles in September 2024.
I4N is recognised for its sophisticated, science-based process of selecting nature-positive solutions and providing access to a future where innovation meets conservation, restoration, regeneration and sustainable development.
Since May 2, 2024, I4N is a registered foundation in Geneva.
