As part of the global Business for Nature (BfN) campaign ‘It’s Now for Nature’, Innovate 4 Nature offers organisations the opportunity to participate in its Accelerator Programme, in collaboration with engageability.
The aim of the programme is to support companies in developing a credible nature and biodiversity strategy – and to make it visible.
While the unprecedented decline of our biodiversity is weighing on the economy, a vibrant network of businesses is breathing new life into our ecosystem. They understand that strong nature means a strong business. A healthy ecosystem delivers crucial services: clean water for core activities, fertile soils and pollination for a profitable harvest, a buffer against flooding, and resources for business activities. “Nature works for us, so we need to work better together.”
Participating companies not only position themselves as pioneers, they can also future-proof their value chain by developing a robust nature strategy that helps make their business resilient for the future.
The overall benefits of the programme can be summarised as follows:
Nature strategy aligned with science & policy
Prepared for TNFD/CSRD disclosure
Stronger positioning and nature-positive brand equity
Exchange with peers and experts
Based on the Nature Strategy Handbook, the programme is designed to provide businesses with the essential tools, methodologies and practical learnings to develop their nature strategy. It consists of six workshops (online or in person), pre & post workshop assignments, ‘How to’ guidance and expert drop-in sessions.
The timeline for the 2025-2026 cohort is as follows:
Kick-off at the Swisscleantech Dialog
First workshop: assess nature dependencies, risks and opportunities
Second workshop: commit to science-based targets
Third workshop: transform your value chain towards a regenerative future
Disclose your nature strategy and activities
Feedback and next steps
The programme is ideal for businesses with a genuine commitment to act on nature, seeking to build internal capability to develop and publish a nature strategy. The prerequisites to participate are:
The scope of the programme depends on the maturity of the organisation. The financial contribution for the 9-month programme offering general guidance, tools and templates is CHF 4,800 per organisation plus the costs of a workshop location. Tailored add-ons and customised services are available at additional costs.
