I4N REGIONAL HUBS

We catalyse nature-positive innovation through local action for global impact

The accelerating biodiversity and climate crisis is already reshaping supply chains and economic resilience — making locally anchored, scalable action more urgent than ever.

Innovate 4 Nature (I4N) is responding by launching Regional Hubs to catalyse nature-positive innovation and enable communities to drive regenerative change from the ground up.

Each Hub identifies and supports vetted, early-stage nature-positive solutions (seed and pre-seed) that address region-specific challenges. The focus is on surfacing high-potential innovations that can be replicated locally, scaled regionally, and connected globally.

This will translate local impact into risk-resilient growth through I4N’s international ecosystem of corporates, investors, and strategic partners.

Building on the momentum of the I4N Award, which attracted more than 400 applications in both 2024 and 2025, the Regional Hubs represent a major milestone in I4N’s mission to accelerate a regenerative economy by catalysing 100+ high-quality nature-positive solutions by 2030.

The most promising innovations will be integrated into I4N’s global portfolio of vetted solutions, amplifying local impact while enabling broader value-chain transformation worldwide.

TWO REGIONAL HUBS IN THE MAKING

Innovate 4 Nature has launched the first regional hub in Latin America (LatAm), in collaboration with Fundes, and is setting up a second hub in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in collaboration with Goumbook.

BECOME A HUB PARTNER

I4N is seeking partners and co-investors to launch and scale its regional hubs. These partners can contribute by directly funding core activities of the I4N Regional Hubs or by sponsoring the regional awards, either fully or partially.

Benefits for hub partners

  • Access to a curated portfolio of high-impact, nature-positive innovations
  • Opportunities to co-design programmes & initiatives
  • Strong ESG positioning aligned with international sustainability targets
  • Recognition as a leader in regenerative transformation
  • Prominent visibility at I4N events and platforms

Budget and outlook

The annual cost for establishing and operating a regional hub is estimated at approximately CHF 500,000 per hub.

This budget covers portfolio-building activities at both the global and regional levels, a regional prize ranging from CHF 40,000 to CHF 80,000, the formation of regional juries, event organisation and contributions to the mentorship programme.

Approximately 25% of the total budget will be allocated to the global team to support their designated responsibilities.

Roles and responsibilities

The global I4N team and the Regional Hubs share complementary roles:

  • Global I4N team: Manages all global activities, builds a global ecosystem, and oversees the global mentorship programme.
  • Regional Hubs: Promote the regional calls for applications at the local level, foster regional ecosystems by connecting innovators with local businesses and investors, and host regional award ceremonies.
