ARISE is a cross-sector, structured action lab designed to shift the Amazon from extraction to stewardship at scale.
The Amazon is approaching irreversible tipping points. Deforestation, mercury contamination from illegal mining, and fragmented conservation efforts are pushing the region’s ecosystems—and the value chains that depend on them—toward systemic collapse.
Orchestrated by Innovate 4 Nature (I4N), a Swiss non-profit foundation based in Geneva, ARISE convenes corporates, investors, foundations, governments, scientists and solution providers around a shared mission: to prove that lasting profitability comes from regenerating the nature we depend on and empowering the communities that safeguard it.
The vision of the ARISE Action Lab is to form a cross-sector coalition transforming the Amazonian value chain to a thriving and resilient ecosystem – shifting extractive practices towards stewardship and regeneration and transitioning 100’000 hectares into community-led stewardships within 3 years.
Phase, activities & impact target
Collaboration approach: ARISE advances joint projects in the Amazonia region and fosters open knowledge exchange to bridge the gap between global capital and local innovation.
ARISE provides a unique cross-sector orchestration, which brings together ‘unlikely allies’, focuses on value creation, offers an implementation engine for vetted solutions, and transfers asset ownership to local communities.

The operating budget is estimated at CHF 1.4 Mio across three years: CHF 250’000 in year 1, CHF 470’000.- in year 2 and CHF 680’000 in year 3, covering operations, call for solutions and assessment, pilots, monitoring and measurement & communication.
